Hattersley is an area about 4 miles away from Glossop and a little bit further away from Manchester City Centre. Similar to areas like Wythenshawe Hattersley is an overspill estate but has a small population. Hattersley’s main goal is to make living affordable, comfortable and also keep you close to the inner city of Manchester itself.
Hattersley does keep you close to Manchester with buses services take you around Tameside and Manchester I addition, if possible one can also go to Glossop train station which offers trains to Manchester Piccadilly every 20 minutes. In addition, unlike most overspill estates Hattersley is unique as it is so close to the Peak District giving you an extra special view form the area. It also means a beautiful walk is at the door step.
Hattersley is an area that loves local sports with one of the bigger gyms in Manchester as well as several parks and 5-a-side football pitches, keeping you active. Being in the corner of Tameside, Hyde, Derbyshire, Stockport and Manchester means you are actually open to many more schools and jobs that once can possibly think of at first sight. Its geographical location means you are never too far away from any of those regions which is a luxury nobody else has.
Overall Atwel James thinks Hattersley is a great area for someone looking for something quiet but also not being far away from any of the bigger places in the region. With a shopping precinct in the area too, it means you do not always have to leave the areaitself too, and much of what you need is at your door step.
